Making Your Higher Education a Reality

Have you been wanting to get back on the saddle and earn that College degree? Perhaps you just need to find the right University to fit your needs? Or maybe you aren’t even sure where to begin and you just need some help navigating all the options available to you. Well BIG things are happening within the next couple of months here at Minot AFB that could help you with all your higher education needs.


You see Minot AFB has many amazing and informational events and workshops coming soon.
The Education Center is actually going to have two events coming up that will dive deeper into all the opportunities available to military service members and their dependents.


Want to know more about what is happening? Well then check out the Education Centers MAFB I Love Education Tour! The tour will begin on May 8th and ends on August 20th 2024. Many organizations including Minot State University, Embry Riddle, Dakota College, the MAFB Library, and more will be participating in the tour. The tour will consist of visiting the CDC, the DFAC, Rockers, Bombers Bistro, Minot State Fair, and the JDC. Speaking of BIG news, Minot Air force Base is getting the addition of the Dakota College at Bottineau as well as the University of Maryland Global Campus. This is exciting news for Minot AFB because it will offer service members and their families so many more opportunities to meet their higher educational goals.


Dakota College will be offering degrees from accounting, dental hygiene, Information technology, Nursing, to Photography and so much more!


The University of Maryland Global Campus will be offering degrees from a Bachelor’s in Cyber Management, to an Undergraduate in Computer Networking, to Graduate Certificates in Digital Forensics and Cyber Investigations and much much more.


Minot State is also adding 20 new programs. So don’t wait because now is the time to attend these events and get the information you need to earn the degree you’ve always wanted!


The other education event coming this summer is the Education centers CCAF workshop. This workshop will provide vital information about what the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) is, it will include what requirements you would need to pursue a CCAF degree, what’s needed to Graduate with your Associate of Applied Science, how to utilize the Program and more. The next CCAF workshop will be June 4th, 2024 at 1330 at the Minot AFB Education Center. It is encouraged to bring your laptops so that you can take full advantage of this opportunity.
