Introduction to Drawing

Welcome to our Introduction to Drawing class for ages 10 and older! In this 1.5 hour weekly class, we will cover the basic principles of drawing, including perspective, composition, shading, and sketching techniques. This course is designed for beginners with little or no prior experience in drawing.

Throughout the course, you will learn how to observe and interpret the world around you and translate your observations onto paper. We will explore different materials, such as pencils, charcoal, and ink, and experiment with various drawing styles, including still life, portraits, landscapes, and abstract art.

Our class will be taught by experienced art instructor who is passionate about sharing her knowledge and skills with you. You will have the opportunity to receive individual feedback and guidance, as well as collaborate with other students to foster a supportive and creative learning environment.

By the end of this course, you will have gained a solid foundation in drawing, developed your artistic skills, and built confidence in your ability to express yourself through art. Whether you aspire to become a professional artist or simply want to explore your creativity, this class will provide you with the tools and techniques to begin your artistic journey.
