One Vote Per Email – Each person may submit only one ballot per valid email address. Duplicate votes from the same email will not be counted.
Voting Period – Voting is open from March 7, 2025 through March 20, 2025, at 11:59 PM CST. No votes will be accepted after the deadline.
Eligibility – The Best of Awards is open to all Minot Air Force Base residents, military personnel, dependents, and civilians who wish to vote.
Categories – Voters can select their favorites in categories such as Best Food Place on Base, Best Hangout on Base, Best Restaurant in Minot, Best Local Winter Activity/Recreation, Best Local Summer Activity/Recreation, Best Day Trip Location (Within 4 Hours of MAFB), Best School On or Off Base, and Best Local Nighttime Hotspot.
Winner Determination – Winners will be chosen based on the highest number of votes received in each category. In the case of a tie, the Northern Sentry editorial team will determine the winner.
Announcement Date – Winners will be officially announced in the March 28, 2025 edition of the Northern Sentry and on the newspaper’s website.
Prize & Recognition – Winners will receive recognition in the newspaper, online, and may receive a certificate or badge for display at their location or business.
Integrity of Voting – Any attempts at ballot stuffing, automated voting, or other fraudulent activities will result in disqualification of votes.
Northern Sentry’s Discretion – The Northern Sentry reserves the right to adjust categories, disqualify votes, or make final determinations as needed to ensure fairness.
Privacy Policy – Email addresses and names submitted for voting will be used for verification purposes and Northern Sentry marketing campaigns. Email addresses will not be shared or sold.
By participating, voters agree to these rules and the decisions of the Northern Sentry, which are final.
