Fatimzahra Elbouab combines her passion for storytelling with her love for writing. Having lived in seven different places, she enjoys traveling with her family, collecting postcards, and creating scrapbooks inspired by the places she visits.
Her passion for writing is reflected in her published book, “Drowning Truths.” At high school, Fatimzahra is actively involved in organizations including National Honor Society, FBLA, HOSA, FRC Robotics, Keystone Club, and Student Congress, where she is a state champion and national qualifier in Speech. She is also a top 10 international finalist in the World of 8 Billion economics video contest and currently serves as North Dakota’s Military Youth of the Year.
In addition to academics, Fatimzahra plays soccer and competes in swimming, track, and varsity wrestling. Outside of school, she enjoys photography, piano, learning languages, and spending time with family. She has played piano for 11 years and earned second prize at the Jugend Musiziert competition in Germany. She also studies German while continuing to strengthen her Turkish and Moroccan Arabic.
Fatimzahra plans to pursue a double degree in neuroscience and aerospace engineering as she works toward her goals of becoming an astronaut and U.S. senator.
