Firefighter Spotlight: Lieutenant Steve Vaudt

At Minot AFB Fire & Emergency Services, we are incredibly proud to highlight one of our own — Lieutenant Steve Vaudt!

Lt. Vaudt is a true pillar of our department, having served Minot AFB for many years as both a military and civilian member. His dedication, experience, and passion for this mission are second to none.

As a seasoned Driver Operator, Lt. Vaudt brings a wealth of knowledge to our team — and he doesn’t keep it to himself! He is known for going above and beyond to share his expertise with our young Airmen, guiding them through their upgrade training and helping them grow into the skilled emergency responders our mission demands.

Beyond the firehouse, Steve has a deep love for the Minot community. Over the years, he has watched this great city grow and evolve, and he embraces every bit of it.

In his own words:
“I love getting to meet so many new Airmen over these years. Meeting new Airmen and people of different cultures and backgrounds — on base and in the community — has been a great experience.”
Lt. Vaudt’s commitment to his crew, his community, and this installation is a shining example of what makes Minot AFB Fire & Emergency Services so special.
