The Minot North varsity girls soccer team had itself a week to remember. With a strong week across the board, all three programs are picking up key wins and building early-season momentum. From clutch finishes on the soccer field to explosive performances in softball and a competitive split for baseball on the road, the Sentinels continued to show resilience and growth in every matchup. As spring sports ramp up, Minot North is quickly proving they can compete in tight games and deliver when it matters most.
On April 9th, the Sentinels took on The Blue Jays, and walked away with a convincing 4–2 victory. The offense was sharp and the defense held firm when it mattered most, giving Minot North a strong early statement to open their stretch of games. Then, on April 11th, the Sentinels faced the Bismarck Demons in what turned out to be a tightly contested battle. Minot North grinded it out and came away with a hard-fought 3–2 win. Two games, two victories, and a whole lot of momentum heading into the weeks ahead. The Sentinel girls are absolutely rolling right now.

Swinging out of this world, the Minot North softball team celebrated its home opener at Minot Scheels Complex in style. The Sentinels hosted Century High School in a doubleheader on April 9th, and the crowd had plenty to cheer about across both games.

Game one was a run-fest from start to finish, with Minot North edging out Century 13–7 in a high-energy opener. Just when you thought the offense might cool off, game two brought even more drama. The Sentinels and Century traded runs back and forth in a thriller, with Minot North ultimately surviving 13–12. Two wins at home, in front of the home crowd, to open the season. Does it get any better than that? Absolutely not.

The Minot North baseball team made the trip to Williston on April 10th for a doubleheader at Aafedt Stadium, and the results were a classic split. In the first game at 3:00 PM, the Sentinels took care of business with a clean 4–1 victory over the Coyotes. The pitching was solid, the bats came through when needed, and Minot North looked sharp in the win.

The second game, however, swung the other way. Williston came out with a vengeance in the nightcap, topping the Sentinels 7–3. Credit goes to the Coyotes for their bounce-back effort, but Minot North will be eager to even the score the next time these two teams meet. A split on the road is never a disaster, and the Sentinels will regroup and reload for what lies ahead.

All in all, it was a week packed with action across every Sentinel program. The girls soccer team is riding a two-game winning streak, softball swept their home opener in dramatic fashion, and baseball split a tough road doubleheader. Minot North is showing up and showing out this spring, and if this week is any indication, Sentinel fans are going to want to keep a close eye on all three programs going forward.
