What do you enjoy most about being a provider?
What I enjoy most about being an FCC provider is getting to be part of each child’s growth and development while supporting military families. Watching children learn new skills, gain confidence, and build friendships is incredibly rewarding. I also value creating a safe, nurturing environment where kids feel loved and parents feel confident leaving their children in my care. Being able to support our Minot AFB community and help families balance mission and home life makes this role especially meaningful to me.

What are your interests/hobbies?
Outside of providing care, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, staying active, and working on creative projects. I also like planning fun activities for the children, learning new ways to support early childhood development, and finding fresh ideas to make my program engaging and educational. In my free time, I enjoy relaxing with family, getting outdoors when I can, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally.

What advice do you have for new providers or those interested in becoming an FCC provider?
My advice is to be patient with yourself and remember that every day is a learning experience. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, lean on your FCC support team, and connect with other providers — that support system makes a huge difference. Focus on building strong relationships with families, stay organized, and always keep the children’s best interests at heart. Most importantly, have confidence in what you bring to the table. Providing care is challenging at times, but it’s incredibly rewarding when you see the positive impact you have on children and families.
