What do you enjoy most about being an FCC Provider?
What I enjoy most about being an FCC provider is creating a safe, welcoming space where kids can learn, explore, and have fun. I love turning everyday moments into exciting learning opportunities. I love doing hands-on science experiments, having themed class fun days, or celebrating holidays together. Watching the kids light up when they discover something new or get excited about an activity makes every day worth it. Being able to build that kind of environment in my home is truly my favorite part of this job.
What are your interests/hobbies?
My interests and hobbies include baking and cooking, going on walks, watching my favorite shows, reading, and doing puzzles. I also love spending time with my husband and our two Great Danes.
What advice do you have for new providers/those interested in being FCC Providers?
My advice for new providers is to not be afraid to ask questions and make mistakes. That is how you learn and grow as a provider. Always remember why you started this job and hold onto that purpose on the tough days. It’s also important to take care of yourself, because when you do, you’re better able to care for the children and families you serve.
