Over the course of two months, from September to October, wrestlers from surrounding communities have attended a two-hour Sunday wrestling camp from 2-4 p.m. This extra training gave them a head start in the upcoming wrestling season. During that period, Coach Justin Racine, the head coach of the Minot United Boys Wrestling team, brought in clinicians from around the region to teach the next generation of high school wrestlers.
On September 28, Coach James Kisgen, the Head Men’s Wrestling Coach of McKendree University, led a four-hour session providing wrestlers with a valuable experience. Coach Kisgen has coached 11 national champions and was a four-time All-American wrestler during college.

On October 5, the University of Jamestown Head Coach Gresh Jones, a two-time NAIA All-American, and Coach Nakoda Currie were the clinicians for the day. With this session focused on cradling techniques, many wrestlers said that they would apply the moves in future matches.
On October 12, U-Mary Men’s Wrestling Head Coach Adam Aho visited the Minot High wrestling room to share effective short offense tips and an important message on developing the proper mindset for wrestling practice.
On October 19, U-Mary Coach Reese Bernhardt, a four-time NCAA All-American, came in with former Minot High wrestler Gabe Mortensen to teach hand-fighting and shot set-up tips. Then, on October 26, Coach Steven Monk, who was a Division I All-American, led a session teaching wrestlers short offense, ankle breakdowns, and cradles. With such a valuable pre-season camp, Minot’s wrestlers are poised for a promising wrestling season.
