MINOT, ND, – The Minot Symphony Orchestra is proud to unveil a vibrant new mural in downtown Minot, “Magic Symphony” was painted over Labor Day weekend by local artist Max Patzner in celebration of the Symphony’s 100th season.


The colorful mural features playful depictions of musical instruments and symbols, capturing the joy and energy of music. Visitors are invited to interact with the artwork through a variety of photo opportunities, including spots that make it look like you’re playing a piano, drum, or trumpet—perfect for capturing fun memories with friends and family.
The mural is located on the south side of the Kemper Building, at the corner of Main Street and 1st Ave SE in downtown Minot.


“The mural was made possible thanks to the generosity of Wayne and Melinda Howe, who donated the building surface for this vibrant artwork,” said Ellen Fenner, Executive Director of the Minot Symphony Orchestra. “Max’s design brings the spirit of music to life in a way that’s both visually stunning and interactive. It’s a celebration of our community, our history, and the power of music to bring people together.”


Art lovers and music enthusiasts can also bring a piece of this celebration home. Prints of the artwork that inspired the mural are available for $25 at www.minotsymphony.com. Proceeds support the Symphony’s programs and events throughout the Centennial season.


The Symphony invites the community to visit the mural downtown, take photos, and share in this colorful celebration of music and art. Visitors can use #mso100 to help track photos of all happenings during the centennial season.
