The Minot North girls swim team turned in a strong showing at the Capital City Invite, finishing second overall with a team score of 331. Their depth across events helped secure the runner-up finish in a highly competitive field.
On the golf course, the Braves girls continued to impress. At the Minot High Invite at Vardon, Emersyn defended her championship title from last year, taking first place with a score of 76. Kinzy Welstad followed with an 80, while Kate Bast and Ally Larson both carded rounds of 88 to round out the team’s second-place finish. In Dickinson, the team once again placed second. Welstad finished runner-up individually with an 81, Emersyn was right behind her at 82, Bast shot an 85, and Larson an 87.
The boys tennis team had a challenging week, dropping a 0-9 match to Minot High before battling in a close 3-4 loss to the Braves.
On the football field, Minot North picked up a convincing 28-7 win over Fargo South. The Braves controlled both sides of the ball to secure the victory and continue their strong season.
Volleyball added to the mix with a 2-1 win over Fargo South, before falling in straight sets to West Fargo, 0-3.
