MINOT, ND, – The Alliance of Nonprofits will host it’s first annual Alliance of Nonprofits Community Recognition Luncheon on Tuesday Nov. 5th from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Grand Hotel, 1505 North Broadway, Minot. The luncheon will recognize area nonprofit organizations, board members and leaders. Dayna Del Val, President and CEO of The Arts Partnership of Fargo will be the featured keynote speaker.
Awards will be presented in six categories: Emerging Leader, Outstanding Board Member of the Year, Most Impactful Business of the Year, Nonprofit Lifetime Achievement Award, Nonprofit Leader of the Year and Alliance of Nonprofits Organization of the Year. Nominations were made by the public, tallied by a committee of volunteers and voted on by members of the Alliance of Nonprofits. Brady Martz was responsible for counting the votes and determined the award winners.

The Minot Alliance of Nonprofits creates a platform for our nonprofit community to work collaboratively, enhancing the mission of each member organization” said Heather Cymbaluk, Alliance of Nonprofits president.
Keynote speaker Dayna Del Val, is a proven leader in arts advocacy and arts administration. She has transformed The Arts Partnership into a dynamic, responsive, arts advocacy powerhouse. A proven communicator, her diverse writing platforms, radio and television interviews and in-person presentations consistently highlight the myriad and reciprocal benefits investing in the arts for economic, community-based placemaking, cultural and quality of life aspects. An instinctive leader with a voracious curiosity for learning, Del Val has grown the organization by more than 200%. In 2018, Del Val received the Emerging Leader award from the North Dakota Association of Nonprofit Organizations (NDANO) and The Arts Partnership was awarded the Governor’s Award for the Arts for Outstanding Arts Organization in 2017.
The luncheon is open to the public and tickets the must be purchased in advanced by Thursday, October 31st via Eventbrite. Tickets include a plated meal of lasagna, Caesar salad, and garlic toast.
The Alliance of Nonprofits is a group of nonprofit leaders who collaborate to strengthen the nonprofit sector and connect our community. Monthly meetings held on the third Wednesday of the month at Homesteaders Restaurant at 8am focus on a variety of nonprofit topics allowing members to learn from one another and enhance the work of their organization. Occasional “Bonus meetings” are scheduled to focus on a specific topic with area experts. To be a member of the Alliance of Nonprofits, you must be the primary representative of a nonprofit organization. Membership dues are $25 annually and include two staff. Volunteers, board members and other representatives are welcome to join as guests for “Bonus meetings”. There are currently 33 members of the Alliance of Nonprofits.
