The air is getting cooler, the leaves are beginning to show their fall colors, and families across Minot are finding ways to enjoy the changing season. For many, that means making a trip to Berry Acres Pumpkin Patch in Minot.
With the sun shining and temperatures cooperating last weekend, Berry Acres welcomed families looking to spend some time outdoors and enjoy a little fall fun. Among the visitors were many patients of Dakota Kids Dentistry who hosted their patient appreciation day on Sept. 27.

Berry Acres offers plenty to keep families busy, from hay slides and a corn maze to pumpkin and squash picking, food trucks and plenty of opportunities for fall photos. The petting zoo, open Saturdays and Sundays, is another favorite for younger visitors. The corn maze, in particular, has provided more than a few memorable moments. McKynzie Thompson shared how her husband and she managed to get lost while making her way through the maze, only to somehow find themselves back at the entrance. In the end, it was her kids who had to help guide her through, proving that sometimes the youngest members of the family know exactly where they are going.

For some families, a visit to Berry Acres is more than just an afternoon outing. It has become an annual tradition and a place where memories are made year after year. One family recently made what may be its final visit after four years of returning to the pumpkin patch, with a permanent change of station taking them away from Minot.
What started as a simple family activity had become a tradition they would carry with them. That is part of what makes Berry Acres special. For families new to Minot, it can be a fun way to discover another part of the community. For longtime residents, it can be a familiar fall tradition and for everyone in between, it is simply a chance to get outside, enjoy some good food, take pictures, pick out the perfect pumpkin and let the kids burn off some energy.

Those looking for even more adventure can add attractions such as the mini-golf train, weekend hay rides and laser tag for an additional cost. A season pass is also available for $30, making it an option for families who want to return throughout the season. General admission is $9, with children 3 & under admitted free and group ticket options are available as well.

Berry Acres will celebrate Military Appreciation Day Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026. Military members and immediate family members will receive $5 admission per person and one complimentary round of mini golf per person upon presentation of a valid military ID.

The pumpkin patch will remain open through Oct. 31, giving families plenty of time to squeeze in one more fall outing before winter arrives. It is open from noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Whether it is a family’s first fall in Minot or another year of returning to a place that has become part of their autumn routine, Berry Acres Pumpkin Patch offers a little bit of everything that makes the season special. There are pumpkins to pick, mazes to get lost in, kids to follow through the hay slides and plenty of memories waiting to be made before Halloween arrives.
