The Bookers celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary on March 5th, reflecting on the growth, sacrifice, and resilience that have shaped their journey as a dual military couple. They first met in 2018 at Kadena Air Base, Japan, where two star struck Airmen quickly fell in love. Not long after, they welcomed their first child and married—just as the military sent Chris to Korea and Ashley to California.

Those early years were marked by distance and heartache: Chris missed their baby’s first milestones, and Ashley navigated new motherhood and a demanding career without nearby family or her husband’s support. Together, they weathered the familiar challenges of service before self—missed moments, long separations, and the constant pull between mission and family.

Yet those hardships strengthened their faith and taught them to trust the path God laid out for them. They learned to serve with purpose while fiercely protecting their marriage and family.
Today, the Bookers are proud parents of two boys, with another little one on the way—a testament to love that endures every PCS, TDY, and chapter in between.
