Air & Space Forces Association Wrap Up Busy Month

Chairman George Masters reviews plans for annual Commander’s Choice Awards banquet to be held on April 9th.

The David C. Jones Chapter 135 of the Air and Space Forces Association has had a busy month. The activities include planning for the upcoming Commander’s Choice Awards banquet to be held on April 9th at the JDL center at Minot Air Force Base. Banquet chairman George Masters reviewed plans for the banquet that annually honors a recipient chosen by the Commanders of each Minot AFB wing, group and squadron. In all, a total of 44 recipients will receive awards at this year’s banquet.


When the Minot Chamber/EDC sponsored Military Night at a Minot State Beaver’s hockey game, local AFA chapter members Jim Bowman and Jim Simons were at the game handing out free popcorn and soft drink certificates to military members at the game.


Finally, AFA members have been busy delivering Community Partner Plaques to area businesses. This month’s list includes Badlands Restaurant and Magic City Hoagies.
