Minot North Celebrates Trio of College Signers Following Standout Season

Minot North football continued to build its program’s reputation as three Sentinel athletes officially signed to compete at the collegiate level, capping off a season filled with individual recognition and team success. Andres Good, Gabe Mendez, and Christian Deadmond each took the next step in their athletic careers, representing Minot North at the next level.


Andres Good signed with the Valley City State University Vikings, while Gabe Mendez and Christian Deadmond both committed to Minot State University. The signings reflect not only the talent within the Sentinel program, but also the development and consistency the team has shown throughout the season.


Deadmond’s signing comes after a year of significant recognition. He was named to the 2025 WDA All-Conference team and earned First Team All-State honors, placing him among the top players in North Dakota. His performance and versatility made him a key contributor throughout the season and a strong addition to the Minot State roster.

The Sentinel program saw widespread recognition across the conference, with Will Bentley, Evan Berg, Christian Deadmond, Ethan Howey, Tyler Kippen, Gavyn McKeithan, Braxton Thompson, Andres Good, and Cooper Chick all earning 2025 WDA All-Conference honors. Evan Berg, Bentley, Deadmond, Howey, Kippen, and Thompson were also named First Team All-State, while McKeithan earned Second Team All-State recognition.


The successful season was further highlighted by head coach Coach Holmen being named the 2025 WDA Coach of the Year. Under his leadership, Minot North continued to establish itself as a competitive and disciplined program within the conference.


As Good, Mendez, and Deadmond prepare to continue their careers at the collegiate level, they leave behind a strong foundation for the Sentinel program. Their signings mark both a personal milestone and a reflection of Minot North football’s continued growth and success.
