So many times you sit down at a new non-American cuisine restaurant and wonder about the menu items. Such was the case when we received our menus at Do Eat Asian Cuisine, no open on the northeast corner of Dakota Square.
Do East Asian Cuisine opened in Minot almost a year ago, and they are very proud of their extensive menu, where menu items can be ordered ala carte, or All You Can Eat.
Our server was very accommodating when it came to explaining the different menu items. Like any restaurant there were several appetizer items, and with the All You Can Eat choice, it’s easy to sample many of them, verses choosing one, or maybe one each, appetizer. Pretty much through the entire meal we would each order a different menu item and then share so that you not only had a chance to sample something that looked interesting to you, but sharing was certainly easy to do. Add to the experience All You Can Eat and your food experiences quickly multiply.
The portions are smaller “but that allows you to sample more” according to our waiter, “and everything is absolutely made fresh in our kitchen.” When I entered the restaurant I was expecting there to be a buffet type atmosphere “but with a buffet you never know. When our food arrives at your table you don’t have to guess how long it has been since it was prepared.”
General Manager Kiky Rizky share that their goal was “serving the heart of Minot and the Minot Air Force Base communities.” He also pointed out that their theme in November was “Gratitude and Warmth. We are having an entire day where we are donating a portion of our proceeds to a non-profit organization. This time it was The Northern Plains Children’s Advocacy Center.”
Kiky also pointed out that every item on the menu is also offered ala carte “for those who may not have time to enjoy the AYCE experience.” And at the end, you can head for the unlimited dessert bar which comes with every order.
So if you are looking for a dining experience that offers unlimited Sushi & Hand Rolls, Unlimited Hibachi, Unlimited Thai Food and at the end Unlimited desserts, Do Eat Asian Cuisine is your choice.
