All Eyes North Sentinels Dominate the Field and More

Minot North athletes had an eventful week of competition, with football, volleyball, and swimming teams all making waves in their respective sports. On Halloween night, the Minot North football team advanced to the semifinals after a strong showing in the quarterfinal game against Red River. The Sentinels secured a 20-6 victory, with cheerleaders supporting the team, and the fans in the stands in festive Halloween attire, adding energy and spirit to the night. The win demonstrated Minot North’s determination and focus as they continue their playoff run.


Meanwhile, the Minot North girls swim team competed at the Minot Mini Invite on October 30th, finishing third with a team score of 257. The swim team has faced some tough competition in recent weeks. On October 24th, they fell to West Fargo, 70-115, and the day before, on October 23rd, they were defeated by the Mandan Braves, 58-128. Despite these setbacks, the team showed resilience at the Minot Mini Invite, bouncing back to achieve a podium finish.


In volleyball, Minot North’s team has also had a strong showing. Junior Brynn Francis was named MVP by SportClips Haircuts on the PSP Network, a recognition of her leadership and outstanding play throughout the season. The volleyball team won against the Williston Coyotes on October 30th in a clean 3-0 sweep. Earlier in the week, they experienced a narrow loss to the Mandan Braves, 2-3, on October 28th, and a close victory against Dickinson High, 3-2, on October 25th. These results reflect a competitive season, with the team showing both skill and perseverance in tight matches.


With strong individual performances and team efforts across sports, Minot North continues to build momentum into the postseason. Football’s quarterfinal victory positions them well for the next round, while volleyball maintains a record of competitive matches, and swimming has shown improvement and determination in recent meets.


Fans and the school community have been enthusiastic in supporting the athletes, whether cheering at the football game on Halloween night or attending volleyball and swim meets.
