Minot’s newest small business is bringing a little extra shine to the community, with a meaningful twist. Everlinked by Kelsey, founded by military spouse Kelsey Rudy, welcomed its very first customer this fall. The business offers custom-fit, clasp-free permanent jewelry designed to celebrate life’s special moments with lasting elegance.
For Kelsey, the decision to launch a business wasn’t just about entrepreneurship, it was about family. “With starting my permanent jewelry business, the focus was to have more time with my daughter and husband,” she shared. “I’m able to help personalize precious memories for others, all while being able to spend time and go out with my family whenever we’d like.”
Permanent jewelry is a growing trend nationwide, and Kelsey is bringing her own personal touch to Minot. The process involves custom-fitting a bracelet, anklet, necklace, or even a ring directly onto the customer, pain-free and clasp-free, and welding the ends together using a small jump ring. The result is a seamless and lasting piece meant to symbolize love, friendship, or personal milestones.
“Clients can choose from a wide variety of high-quality chains, and I custom fit the piece right then and there,” Kelsey explained. “It’s not just about the jewelry. It’s about the memory being made.”
The name “Everlinked” wasn’t chosen by accident. “I wanted to portray the forever side of permanent jewelry while also introducing myself,” Kelsey said. “That’s how Everlinked by Kelsey was born.”
As a military spouse, Kelsey’s journey into business has been shaped by both the challenges and strengths that come with military life. “Moving and adjusting to new environments has opened me up to getting more involved with the community,” she said. “And being a military spouse means I can relate to my customers’ complex schedules, so I offer my services flexibly.”

Despite the hurdles, including planning around North Dakota’s harsh winters and her husband’s unpredictable schedule, Kelsey has found strong support within the Minot AFB and local military community. “From social media guidance to the Minot Spouse’s Club small business group, I’ve had people helping me every step of the way,” she said.
Everlinked by Kelsey offers more than standard collection pieces. Kelsey welcomes creative collaborations with her clients, whether it’s a solo appointment, a girls’ night, bridal shower, or even a military unit event. “I love brainstorming with clients to see what we can create together,” she said.
Her materials are sourced from reputable wholesalers, including Everlinx Permanent Jewelry, and include 14k gold-filled and .925 sterling silver options. Mixed-metal specialty chains and different price points ensure something for every taste and budget.
To kick off the holiday season, Everlinked by Kelsey is offering a special promotion: the first 10 gift certificate purchases will receive $10 off a jewelry piece from her collection. “It’s a great gift option for spouses, significant others, and friends,” Kelsey said.

Although she’s still in the early stages of business, Kelsey is eager to serve the Minot AFB community more in the months ahead. “I’m dedicated to working with each individual customer to create the perfect piece,” she said. “That kind of personal connection is what this is all about.”
Reflecting on her journey so far, Kelsey says the most rewarding part has been the connections she’s made. “I’ve met so many amazing people that I wouldn’t normally have had the chance to meet,” she said. “It’s opened so many doors.”
To fellow military spouses thinking about starting a business, Kelsey offers this advice: “Overcome that fear of the initial leap. Organization is key to having a stress-free start.”
She’s quick to credit her husband, Staff Sergeant Andrew Rudy of the 742nd Missile Squadron, for his unwavering support. “From letting me practice my welds on him to taking our daughter out during appointments, he’s been there for it all,” she said. “And I’m so grateful to my friends and customers who’ve supported and spread the word.”
