The Cadets of the Magic City Civil Air Patrol Composite Squadron are calling on Minot’s business community to help honor our local heroes this holiday season through the Wreaths Across America initiative. Their mission: to ensure that a live Balsam wreath is placed on every veteran’s grave at Rosehill Memorial Park Cemetery—no hero left behind.

The youth-led campaign is a powerful act of remembrance and community service. By sponsoring wreaths, businesses and individuals not only honor veterans but also invest in the development of Minot’s next generation of leaders.

“This effort is deeply personal,” says Cadet Jean DeHaan, “Growing up in a family that deeply values our country, I understand the sacrifices veterans made to protect our freedom. Placing wreaths is more than a gesture—it’s a way to show our appreciation and remember why we have the freedoms we enjoy today.”

Each wreath is $17, with nearly 30% of every donation directly supporting the Cadets’ annual programming. These funds enable vital activities such as search and rescue training, leadership development, rocketry education, physical fitness, and educational field trips.
