Downtown Minot was buzzing with activity on Saturday, September 13th, as families, friends, and visitors flocked to the annual Festival on Main. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Main Street was transformed into a lively hub of fun, food, and entertainment, drawing hundreds of attendees to celebrate one of the city’s most anticipated community traditions.
The festival, sponsored by the Downtown Business & Professional Association of Minot, offered something for everyone. Children laughed and played in the bounce houses and inflatables, while carnival games kept the younger crowd busy winning prizes. The ever-popular bingo tables filled with participants throughout the day, creating an atmosphere of friendly competition and excitement.
Food was another highlight of the event. A wide range of food vendors lined Main Street, serving up everything from sweet treats to savory meals. The delicious aromas drifting through downtown made it impossible to resist sampling some of the offerings, whether it was a quick snack on the go or a hearty lunch shared with friends.
One of the festival’s biggest draws was the classic car show, where gleaming vintage vehicles lined the streets. Car enthusiasts and casual spectators alike admired the craftsmanship and history behind the polished rides. Alongside the cars, local businesses took part in sidewalk sales, giving festivalgoers the chance to shop unique finds, discover new stores, and support Minot’s downtown merchants.

Music filled the air as performers took the stage, one including an exhibition of Native American culture, providing a vibrant soundtrack to the day’s festivities. The upbeat atmosphere was complemented by special appearances from fire trucks and first responder demonstrations, which allowed kids to explore emergency vehicles up close and learn about the community heroes who keep Minot safe.
By the time the festival wrapped up in the evening, Main Street had been filled with smiles, laughter, and memories. From shopping and live music to carnival games and street food, the Festival on Main delivered a full day of excitement for all ages. The annual tradition once again showcased the heart of downtown Minot and its thriving community spirit.
