Students from North Plains and Dakota Elementary Schools wrapped up their first week of summer school with a fun-filled walking field trip to the Bowling Center right here on Minot Air Force Base. This joint summer school program brought students together for a memorable outing that combined fun, movement, and community connection.
Mike, the Bowling Center manager, went above and beyond to welcome the students, helping to end their first week of learning on a high note. His support—and the enthusiastic environment he helped create—made the experience one to remember.
A special thank you goes out to the incredible volunteers from the 891st Missile Security Forces Squadron, who played a key role in ensuring the safety of students during their walk to and from the center. These volunteers also jumped right into the action, cheering on students and even joining in on the games.
Both teachers and students were all smiles and expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity. This field trip not only provided a well-deserved break but also showcased the power of community support. We’re so thankful to be part of such a caring and engaged Minot AFB community!
