As Minot Air Force Base’s new School Liaison Program Manager, it is such an honor to serve our military-connected students from all branches within and around Minot, North Dakota. I hope that I may bring love, laughter, and light to this program—putting my own spin on all tasks, lifting up those with whom I have the pleasure of meeting!

Over the past ten years, I have served our United States government as a Head Start PreK teacher, Army PreK teacher, and Air Force employee. In fact, I entered the Department of the Air Force in June 2020 as Minot AFB’s Family Child Care (FCC) Coordinator and grew the program to be the largest in the Air Force, facilitated the National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC) Accreditation of three childcare providers, and took on additional roles to serve the entire Child and Youth Programs Flight: Facility Manager; Government Purchase Card Holder for the Youth Programs, School Liaison Office, and FCC Office; and USDA Coordinator—to name a few. Prior to the School Liaison Program Manager position, I was the Community Child Care Coordinator at Minot AFB.

Although I am proud to have accomplished the above professional feats, I am most proud of my husband and children. These individuals have uplifted me as I devoted countless hours to supporting our nuclear mission. Our love of ping-pong, baseball, and Svengoolie sustained us when we arrived during COVID and continues to strengthen our family’s foundation. Without their love and support, I wouldn’t be able to genuinely serve our military-connected students in the capacity for which they deserve. I believe family is the foundation of our nation’s success and to that end, I ardently strive to support our families as they bravely serve our nation.

The Minot AFB School Liaison Office is an Installation Commander-driven program with a footprint reaching 2,000+ students across nine independent school districts consisting of 28 public schools, two private schools, and homeschoolers. As a School Liaison Program Manager, I am committed to outreach, advocacy, and partnership initiatives that generate real-time solutions for our military-connected students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 in North Dakota. I focus on enhancing quality of life for military-connected families through unparalleled leadership initiatives with regard to the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission (MIC3), STARBASE North Dakota, Yellowfin Bus Transportation, and Federal Impact Aid.

I look forward to working alongside you as we serve one another to make this world a little bit brighter and easier for all! Please reach out anytime with any PreK-12th grade questions you may have at mafb.school.liaison@us.af.mil.
