Okay all you coffee enthusiasts, there’s some exciting coffee related news coming soon to Minot AFB! The little coffee kiosk near Missile Avenue and Peacekeeper Place, in the parking lot of the Turf, will be the new location for the next Central Brew coffee shop.
Central Brew started off as the shared dream between Dana Zaback and Mary Prough who wanted to share their love of coffee with everyone in Minot. Currently Central Brew has only one location at 400 E Central Ave Suite 104 Minot, ND that opened on October 19th, 2023.
While Central Brew may have started as a big dream between two friends, things changed when the perfect opportunity to make this longtime dream a reality arose after another coffee shop had closed down.
The pair took the chance to turn the location at 400 E Central Ave into the very first Central Brew. Now not even a year after making their dream a reality they’ve been offered a space for their second Central Brew location. Dana and Mary were approached by Brooke Madison the services business manager for the Minot AFB Exchange with an opportunity to open a Central Brew location on Minot AFB. Dana and Mary had always dreamed to open more locations in the future, so they jumped at the chance to have a Central Brew on Minot AFB.
Central Brew offers many delectable options to patrons looking for that morning pick me up. While Dana’s favorite coffee is the cold brew, the popular coffee choice at the moment is the Bourbon Caramel latte. Coffee not your thing? Well don’t you worry because Central Brew offers a tasty alternative. Central Brew’s Lotus drinks are plant-based energy drinks with many different fruit flavor options. Feel free to try any of the signature Lotus drinks or ask for any combination of flavors to create a unique beverage made just for you!
Of course, there’s more than just tasty drinks available at Central Brew. If you’re craving something for your sweet tooth as well, they have a baker who comes in to bake homemade pastries like scones, muffins, cookies, banana bread, lemon bread, and more. There are also some scrumptious deli sandwiches with ham or turkey and mouth-watering chicken wraps available for purchase. You wouldn’t want to pass up on their famous grape pecan chicken wrap which is a favorite among customers. And once the cooler weather returns it will be the perfect time to try the soups that are available in the fall.
Dana and Mary want to share not only their love of coffee, but also a family friendly and cozy atmosphere with their patrons. When asked to share what Central Brew is all about Dana stated, “We strive to always be the best. We’re always sampling different coffees and trying to figure out what’s the best. When we opened up the location in Minot, we had a taste test sampling. We brought different people in just to get everyone’s palates happy and see what kind of coffee we were gonna go with.” Dana and Mary had a dream and they made it happen.
The Central Brew kiosk near the Turf will have everything that the Minot location offers as well. The kiosk will be open 5:30am to 1:00pm Monday through Friday. As of now the tentative opening date will be July 29th, 2024. Don’t forget to stop by the new Central Brew location and try a Bourbon Caramel latte with a grape pecan chicken wrap and one of the delicious scones!
