Minot, ND – Hundreds of enthusiastic young students and volunteers will be on deck Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Minot State University for their “23rd ANNUAL” – Minot Marketplace for Kids Education Day.
The day will feature a wide array of classes including: “ELECTRICAL MOTORS & ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS” presented by Scott Halle – Training & Compliance Administrator: ND State Electrical Board; “PREHOSPITAL PATIENT CARE” presented by Robert Kientz, Assistant Chief Paramedic: First Response Ambulance, Trinity Health; “YOUR FOOD’S JOURNEY FROM THE FARM TO YOUR FORK” presented by Les Knudson,
Division Head, Ingredients Operations: AGT Foods; “A ‘BREAKOUT’ FROM TRADITIONAL ROLES” presented by Jill Vigesaa, Education Coordinator: ND Dept. of Ag/ND Farm Bureau; and “ENERGY OPPORTUNITIES IN NORTH DAKOTA” presented by Tracey Miller, Lead Development Manager: ND Department of Commerce.
The Marketplace Advisory Leadership Team and members of the education community enjoy reviewing the previous year’s class reports from the students and take their advice on the classes they would like presented each year. Classes are a memorable educational experience for area students.
Students will be showcasing their innovative ideas in the Hall of Great Ideas (in the Dome) from 11:35 AM to 12:25 PM. Everyone is invited to stop by and view the projects, visit with the students and encourage their creativity. Members from the Business Community will be listening to business pitches from the project students and presenting ribbons to them.
The program targets grades three through eight but is open to all ages. Marketplace for Kids provides a variety of experiential learning classes and activities to help students develop innovation, enhance personal development, and explore career options. Numerous volunteers: local Minot groups and businesses will be volunteering to make the Marketplace for Kids Education Day a success.

Marketplace for Kids encourages your students or children to develop their own ideas, share their creativity, and present them to an audience of all ages.
