2023 Prairie Warrior Auction

This year, the Minot Area Chamber EDC in conjunction with the 5FSS, will hold the 36th annual Prairie Warrior Auction. This event started out with just a couple of community members who cared about the relationship between the Minot community and the Air Force Base. The first year it consisted of a murder mystery dinner with an auction. It was a hit! The next year, Mrs. Betty Fedorchak, one of the founding members, became the chairperson for the event and carried that position for 31 years. Every year it grew more successful and more fun.

This annual event, now called The Prairie Warrior Auction, consists of a social, a silent and live auction along with a 50/50 raffle with the proceeds supporting events and team-building activities for the squadrons of Team Minot and their families. The donations for the auction come from our member investors in the community as well as members of the military community. What would Minot be without our military families? This is our way of helping where we can. Over the past 36 years, the auction has raised over $680,000! We are very proud of this annual event and the fact it keeps getting bigger each year.

The Prairie Warrior Auction takes place on Thursday, March 16th at the Grand Hotel starting at 5:30pm. Thanks to Verendrye Electric Cooperative for helping make this event FREE for anyone with an active military ID! Tickets can be purchased online at www.minotchamberedc.com for both active military and nonmilitary. This event is open to the public.
