On Friday, August 7th, 2026 families will receive backpacks, school supplies, and a $30 gift card from Operation Homefront. The gift card is a new initiative that places autonomy in parent(s)/guardian(s) hands with regard to the purchase of additional school supplies. Isn’t that great?! Every year, the event improves in some way and I couldn’t be happier to host it – providing 40 organizations table space and time to inform, educate, and engage with our military-connected families.

If you did not register, please still come! There will be free resources, supplies, and vision screenings. Representatives from educational agencies on base and in town are also on site to share their offerings, which aim to enhance and support your student’s school year. Lastly, I will ensure the SY 26/27 calendar for the Minot Public Schools District and Glenburn Public School District are readily available.
